Born in the Bay

Established in 2021, The Yard is a reservation-based strength training gym with locations in San Francisco and Mill Valley that offers pod-based training, group classes, and space for independent personal trainers. Each of our workout pods includes your own rack, bench, barbell, and plates—plus access to nearby fan bikes, rowers, and a shared training space equipped with kettlebells, dumbbells, and functional training tools.

San Francisco

  • Located in Pacific Heights at 2863 California Street
  • 3500 sq ft featuring 10 pods, an indoor turf, and outdoor training area. (Turf Pods 1-3 are downstairs, Pods 3-9 are upstairs)
  • Hours: M–Th 6:30 a.m. – 8 p.m., Fr 6:30 a.m. – 7 p.m., S/S 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Parking: Free street, paid street
  • Shower & towel service available

Mill Valley

  • Located at Tam Junction at 215 Shoreline Highway
  • 3200 sq ft featuring 8 pods and an indoor turf area. (Pods 2, 4, 6 & 8 have platforms, pods 3 & 5 don’t, pods 1 & 7 are shared-use cable machines)
  • Hours: M–Th 5:30 a.m. – 8 p.m., Fr 5:30 a.m. – 7 p.m., S/S 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Parking: Free lot
  • Shower & towel service available when sauna not in use
