You’re invited to join The Yard’s next 6-week small-group Barbell Basics strength training program. Our talented instructors will guide you through a challenging session up to five times per week. Each class, you’ll participate in a full-body workout while perfecting your form through a variety of movements while learning proper equipment usage.

The Barbell Basics program is designed to give you up to five full body workouts per week. We’ll offer a variety of different movements each day featuring barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, and bands – so class never gets repetitious, even if you attend two days in a row. Can’t make a class? No sweat! We will provide you with the workout and you can complete it in a pod on your own time.

2025 Upcoming Cycle:
  • June 16 – July 25
  • July 28 – September 5
  • September 8 – October 17
  • October 20 – December 5 (limited class availability Thanksgiving week, you’re welcome to book pods)

Can’t start at the beginning of the cycle? No worries! Class continues in between 6-week cycles, so you can join at any time!

Barbell Basics x PRC 12-Week Marathon Prep Program

The Yard’s 6-Week Barbell Basics Strength Training Program just got stronger!

In collaboration with Progression Run Club, we’re getting you ready for the SF Marathon (Sat, July 26th) by offering a 12-week hybrid training program.

Beginning May 5th, you’ll receive 12 weeks of programming including:

  • Unlimited access to all of our small-group classes, including up to 5 Barbell Basics small-group classes per week and pod reservations ($795 value)
  • Personal training consultation with one of the PRC Run Club personal trainers ($150 value)
  • Six 30-minute biweekly accountability check-ins ($450 value)
  • Three Run Club workshops ($87 value)
